This view of the town and the harbour of Mahón in the Island of Minorca is humbly inscribed by his Lordships most obedient servant, Francis Egideus Assiotti", and "Published as the Act directs February the 17 1766. and sold at Reg... (?) old print shop, Great Newport Street St. Martin´s lane", London.
The view is from the North side of the harbour and shows San Felipe, the inlets and coves of the Port of Mahón, Kings Island, Rat Island, and the town of Mahón.

A print of a watercolour of Port Mahón showing Hospital Island in the foreground, and Rat Island (which no longer exists),and a double decker British naval ship of the line; in the foreground, two gentlemen mounted on a mule and a horse, from an unsigned watercolour, early 19th century. Horses and mules were commonly hired by naval officers to visit Mahón and the surrounding countryside and is thought to have been a lucrative business for the Menorcans.

A plan inscribed: "A plan of the upper Works of St. Philips Castle in Minorca in sections" from a draft of 1735 by Humphrey Herbert, an officer of the Royal Engineers. The plan shows various extentions to San Felipe carried out during the first British occupation of Menorca and is considered to be the finest plan of San Felipe ever made, and was instrumental in locating the castle chapel which was subsequently excavated. The plan shows a number of private houses within the grounds of the castle including Governor Handyside´s House and a house described as the "Chief Engineer´s house" where Patrick Mackellar, the engineer who designed and built Georgetown/Villa Carlos/Es Castell, is known to have lived at some time.

Plan of the entrance to the port of Mahón, inscribed 1801, illustrating Queen Anne´s fort on La Mola and the British defense towers of Erskine and Saint-Clair; the ruins of San Felipe to the south showing the defence works carried out by the British between 1798-1802; further to the south, Fort Marlborough and Stanhope´s tower (d´es Penjat); and to the west, "Col. Hornick´s House" and the "ruins of Col. MacKellar´s house".
These were demolished and cleared at the same time as the Arraval of San Felipe when Georgetown (Es Castell) was built in the 1770´s.

A fine plan of "St. Philips Castle. Port Mahón. Minorca", thought to have been drawn during the first British occupation of the island, showing the village of La Arraval and details of the covered walkways of the fortification. The plan is similar to the one drawn by humphrey Herbert in 1735.

An interesting map showing all the farm-holdings on Minorca at the turn of the 18th and 19th centuriess. The map is attributed to a Captain D´Arcy and is thought to have been made shortly before the British evacuation of Menorca in 1802 following the Treaty of Amiens. It is thought that the map was made because the British intended to return to Minorca at a later date.

From a manuscript of 1756 or 1766 inscribed "Plan of the Fortifications and Arraval of St. Philips and part of the Harbour of Mahón in the Island of Minorca Shewing the Batteries erected by ye French at the Siege in 1756 as also the place where the Town or Arraval of St. Philips is proposed to be removed to" This plan was drawn by Francis Assiotti and signed Patrick MacKellar, showing the projected site for the building of Georgetown, later Es castell. The plan designates the new town to be 1,400 yards north of the Arraval at San Felipe.

A plan showing the town and harbour of Mahón, Georgetown, Fort George (formerly St. Philips), the defense towers of Erskine, Saint-Clair and Stanhope (Penjat), fort Anna on La Mola, the newly built Lazaretto on the peninsular of Berbei, quarantine island and other important developments, notably the expansion of Mahón, and next to San felipe the beginning of Kane´s Road with a fork leading to San Esteban.
The original is signed "R. D´Arcy, CRE", dated 18 Nov 1801 and bears the Military Depot stamp, OMG´s Department.

A newspaper etching showing a section of the English and French fleets drawn up in line of battle off Mahón on May 20th 1756 together with their different stations at the time of engagements and signals given by the British Admiral. The mauscript is believed to have been drawn by a person on board the British fleet.

A plan of St. Philip´s castle showing details of work carried out on the tunnels of the castle by the British in the first half of the 18th century.
These show three types of tunnel: tunnels of comunication, those for combat and others in which mines were laid. One of the major tunnels called "Grand Gallery" and situated to the east of the fort between the covered interior tunnel and the reducto of the queen was detroyed by the Spanish between April-October 1782 but can still be seen today although most of it is not passable.
The galleries of comunication occupy two levels under the central part of the fort orginally built by the Spanish.
The plan is insribed "Plan of the Subterraneous Works of St. Philip´s Castle Minorca" titled on a tasselled scroll with a reference table within a cartouche, and bearing the Royal Arms, from a plan made by Thomas Sowers, an engineer, 1754.

A print of an oil painting of the mouth of Port Mahón showing a British 74 gun two decker ship-of-the line passing the buildings of Lazaretto whilst a smartly turned out landing craft flying the red ensign bears two officers ashore; in the foreground are several small boats including a rowing boat with two men fishing, and a felucca, a swift, typically Mediterranean lateen-rigged sailing- boat; Moll d´en Pons, part of the village of Es Castell (previously Villa Carlos and Georgetown) is shown on the right behind the building of the old British Cavalry stables.
A 74 gunner would have been used in line of battle or as an independent cruiser and was sometimes the flagship of a small squadron.
